alt FRANK S. “Hank” DiSalvo age 88 of 20 Damonsville Street, Mount Morris, NY died Saturday September 6, 2014 at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia, NY. He was born the son of Salvatore and Rose DiSalvo on May 3, 1926 in Mount Morris, NY. He was a life long resident of Mount Morris. He was a veteran of the Air Force during World War II having served as a Gunner on B17’s. He married Grace LaChuisa on September 3, 1949. Prior to his retirement in 1989 he was employed as a Electrical instructor at the Charles G. May Center in Mount Morris for over 18 years. He also worked as a Union Electrician in Rochester prior to his teaching. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church where he served as a usher, the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Mt. Morris Kiwanis Club, Mount Morris American Legion Post, Mt. Morris Ambulance and the Active Hose Company of the Mount Morris Fire Department for over 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years Grace. 2 sons Frank (Patty) DiSalvo II of Irondequoit and David (Lyn) DiSalvo of Mt. Morris. 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Brother Sam (Josephine) DiSalvo of Rochester. Brother-in-law Joseph (Donna) LaChuisa of Florida and Sister-in-law Marie Pagano of Mt. Morris. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends. No Prior calling. Prayers will be held Saturday, Sept. 13 at 9:30 at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris followed by a funeral mass at 10am at St. Patrick’s Church.
